This Website & The County Fair

It is a very exciting time around here. The coming official launch of this website ( ThisIsMyCounty.com ) is drawing near, as development of the website quickly draws to a close, and the start of finding folks within the county to participate begins. As you can see around you, the development of this site is and has been in full swing. 100% carpal tunnel causing keyboard pounding to get it up and running.

So far Terry Stewart has signed on to write within the military community section of this website. Who is next? Who out there covers local sports with a passion and would be willing to write about it? This site is designed to generate community involvement in something larger then the static infrastructure in place. A chance to give everyone a chance to exercise their voice (and typing skills).

Who knows, this entire project could grow into something more then it is initially planned to be, and you might find that you just might have that energy and talent to write that tell all book you’ve been thinking about since you were a child.

I bet within time, the popularity of this site, and its contributors will soon replace the standard homepage of many an office and home.  I will continue to post basic material until authors are found to participate.

The Harrison County fair is once again upon us, and it kicks off tonight. A flurry of activity, and a serious dose of community involvement. This year, being the first year mylocalpcpro has been in business in Cadiz, we have sponsored Derby car racer Josh Carter of the #17 car, and we have sponsored the second place trophy. The derby kicks off on July 10th, at 7:00pm. I am sure to see many of you there, as I will be working the concession stand in front of the grand stand, for the Cadiz Business Association!
