Accident At The Truck & Tractor Event
Print This Story
The very first event of the night, a very ugly incident happened. While the first participant was about to unhook his truck from the sled, Don Jones, directly behind the vehicle, was attempting to disconnect the chain, when the truck, reversed and pulled itself back upon the sled, bouncing into the air, and falling down upon Don Jones. This picture was taken from the side of the grand stands, moments after the accident happened. EMS personnel from Tappan Lake Vol. Fire Department, and Harrison Community Hospital, as well as members of the Cadiz EMS, were immediately upon the scene.
Don Jones was taken to HCS, his current status, or the extent of his injuries are unknown, but the announcer was faintly heard over the crowd, much later on in the night, that there was a report from Harrison Community Hospital, and that Don Jones was Alright. As soon as we can find out what exactly happened, or the extent of his injuries, I will post it here.
Immediately following the accident, all participants were carefully observed, and were made to keep their hands in the air, and visible at all times, while unhooking the sled from their vehicles.
