Motivation

timc-logoThis project is well into its second week, of public view. It is 80% ready for full publication and readiness. Already, the emails from the contact form on this site, have been literally pouring in. The vibration from my phone, notifying me of new emails, more or less drains my cell phone battery rather quickly.

And that is great! That means that this project is picking up momentum. Judging by the reactions, and the comments, and the increased traffic, it goes to show that there is a purpose for this website. I am beyond excited to see the potential of this site in full swing. As of this writing. We have to great guys who have volunteered to contribute to the content of this website. Terry Stewart, and Dave Rose.

I’m excited to see who else joins on. And im even more excited to see the content come in, and the interaction from readers. This is going to be a great tool for this county.

I want to share an email that was recieved today, from a former Harrison County Native, who just made my day, and the Cadiz Volunteers as well. I have republished her letter, with her permission. I have removed her email address, for online security reasons. Her letter is being published in its entirety.

Hi Friends of Harrison County!

I want to thank the Cadiz Firemen for what they are doing for Jerry Graham. Jerry
is my uncle and I know he and Wilma will greatly appreciate all you are planning.

I want you to know there is a Poker Run planned for my nephew, Dirk Harkins. It
will be held this week-end, July 25. If you need more information, get in touch
with Judy Manfred (Manfred's Restaurant & Catering) at 740-264-2710. Dirk was
injured in Iraq and due to the extent of his injuries, he has had to come
out of the military. His mother is Alice Hirschbach who lives in Jewett.
You could also contact her at 740-946-6293.
I want to commend you for this wonderful website. Having been a Harrison County
Resident for most of my life, I find it great to have a place to stay up with my
"home roots". I placed my request for news to come to my email address and am so
looking forward to reading the news.
Keep up the good work with keeping Harrison County alive and well!!! Even though
some of us transplant to West Virginia (Wellsburg), our hearts will always be in
Harrison County, OH. (I am a 1967 Hopedale graduate)

Sincerely,
Linda (Case) Smith
