I am very excited by the addition of two more citizens of Harrison County who will be volunteering their time, and energies to contributing to ThisIsMyCounty.com
Marcia Bedway of Cadiz, who has already posted her introduction, (located here), and Howard Landkrohn of Tappan Lake.
I am, personally, very excited by the addition of Marcia, and Howard, and the anticipation of what they will be contributing to this website, for the benefit of our Harrison County.
That being said,
Thank you Marcia and Howard, for partaking in this project!
I also want to put the spot light on Teri Pecar of Cadiz, and all those who have helped with the formation of the Harrison Youth Soccer League. As simple as it may seem, the actions of Teri, and everyone involved who made it possible, and have volunteered so many hours to ensure that everything runs smoothly, truly has had a dramatic impact on our County.
It’s true. Something that may seem so simple as adding a sporting medium for our children, has an outstanding impact on our youth. Since I was a youth myself, everywhere I had been, the schools and the regions. Soccer was a standard. But in Harrison County, it was unheard of. I can even recall the seemingly common attitude that Harrison County was not Good enough, nor have the funds or the committed volunteers willing to make Soccer available to our youth.
But it exists now. Thanks to the motivation, hard work, and time put in by everyone involved. Our youth need athletic mediums. Not only is it good for getting our children athletic, but its promotes social skills, team work and it gives the parents a chance to interact with the other parents.
These folks have done something tremendous, and your work is appreciated!
This website is open to ANY and ALL who has a passion for our County, the drive to make a difference, and for those who have things to say, but never had the medium to use.
I am still on the look out for ANYONE who is willing to join us on this project
No experience, degree or anything of that nature is required. Want to help get involved in your community? What better then starting right here.

Larry Bertolino is a 29 year old, U.S Navy Veteran, and the owner of myLocalPCpro which is located in Cadiz, Ohio.
He is also member of the American Legion, The Cadiz Business Association and a member of the Tappan Lake Volunteer Fire Department.
