REMINDER!! The Jefferson County Veterans Service Commission will be holding its annual Veterans Health Fair, November 7th, 2009 at Steubenville High School, from 9AM to 3PM.
The Pittsburgh VA will be on hand to provide free health screening checks for blood pressure, diabetes and glaucoma to name a few. They will also be providing a free flu shot for those that want one.
The Veterans Health Fair is open to all veterans regardless of income, state or county of residence. Questions regarding the fair may be directed to the Jefferson County Veterans Service Commission at 740-283-8571.

Dave Rose, of Scio, is the County Veterans Service Officer. He retired in 2008 as a Department of Army civilian from Fort Meade, Maryland with forty years of Federal service (military and civilian). He is a member of the Scio American Legion, Scio Ruritans, Harrison County Historical Society, Harrison County Military Support Group, and the Custer Memorial Association. His hobbies include collecting military insignia and reading Civil War history.
