My grandfather (Thomas Durbin) had a major hand in that hunk of metal, and my Father was one of the last crew to operate it, and not long after he passed away, they scrapped it. My dad, Paul Rogers, helped build that monster and he later retired as operator from the Gem of Egypt. I'm very proud of my Dad. My sister, Linda Fogle, told me about this site.
