
MCBI Regional Incubator for Entrepreneurs has launched the 2010 Invention and Innovation Big Idea Contest simultaneously in nine counties — including Harrison.
A $1000 Cash and Services Prize will be awarded to winners in each county.
WHAT IS IT? The Big Idea Contest is designed to encourage new and existing businesses and prospective entrepreneurs with an innovative idea or invention to compete for cash and business services to help launch their idea. Any unique idea will be considered. Creativity is welcome, but the idea must be practical enough to result in a realistic and profitable business.
Successful applicants will demonstrate an ability to implement their idea and begin a business by completing the application process . Evaluation of the all applications will be conducted by a panel of business professionals. The winners will be awarded based on the panel’s recommendation.
One winner from each county will be selected to advance to a 9 County Regional Competition. County Participation includes Belmont, Coshocton, Guernsey, Harrison, Jefferson, Monroe, Morgan, Muskingum, and Noble
WHO’S ELIGIBLE? Anyone who lives in or has a business in Harrison
County may enter. Entrants may be of any age, race, nationality or gender. Entrants can be business owners or employees, students or retirees.
