A Life Time of Adventure Awaits..

Right here in Harrison County Ohio. Seriously. How many of you have heard the distinctive whine of the siren on a Fire Engine? How many times have you been somewhere, and you hear a loud obnoxious toning sound, and you glance over your shoulder, only to see someone put their hand to a radio clipped to their belts, assume the deer in the head lights look, then quickly bolt out the door, rushing off to some unknown emergency?

Ever wonder what goes on? Why did that person get that look on their face? Why do they care or even bother?

Being a volunteer fire fighter, or an EMT gives a feeling of immense civic pride, and duty to the person who goes a step beyond to serve their community. The feeling of accomplishment and the knowledge that you helped someone out, who was probably having one of the worst days of their lives.

Being a volunteer is just that. You do not have to have any specific back ground. There are doctors and lawyers, and farmers and bankers, and mechanics and even computer geeks who are volunteers.

As such, there is always room for you, in any one of the Fire Departments located in Harrison County Ohio.

Be a hero in your community. In the day and age when everyone talks of change, you can stop and think, that the only change you are ever going to see, is the one you make. And your decision to become a volunteer member of your local fire department, could be that change in someones life that you help save, or the property of the family down the street, who have already been through so much.

The Fire\EMS community is a tight knit group of individuals all serving a common purpose. Contact your local department, and see what you can do, to be a part of something bigger then yourself.  We are waiting for you!
