Surprises around every turn

As long as I can remember, I’ve always thought nature was beautiful.  Nothing has changed now since I’m 21 years old.  I still enjoy nature and think it’s really beautiful.  So, I knew exactly what activity I wanted to do a couple of weeks ago.

I decided to walk from Scio to Bowerston on the Conotton Creek Trail.  So, I went and got the camera, bought a bottle of water and drove to the trail.  I started walking at the part of the trail that’s not far from B & F Dairy Bar.  As I started walking, I began getting more relaxed and at ease, not worrying about anything.

The wonderful thing about the Conotton Creek Trail is that there are so many friendly people that take walks or bike on this trail.  As I was walking, I was able to stop and talk to a few of them.  And a few of them seen me as I was walking towards Bowerston and seen me as I was walking back and was more then happy to say hello to me both times.

If you enjoy taking photos of nature and animals, this is the perfect place to go.  I was snapping photos every time I took a step, or so it seemed like it, and enjoying every second.  Every time I turned around, it seemed like there was something neat in store.

For that reason, that’s probably why I continued walking to Bowerston.  I would get to a spot on the trail and say that I’d turn around at a certain point, but when I’d get to it, my curiosity would get the better of me and I would keep going.  That’s one of the really neat things about the trail.  You never know what you are going to find beyond each bend.  It spikes your curiosity so much that you want to keep going.

I walked close to a total of 12 miles, which is pretty much 6 miles to get to Bowerston and 6 miles to get back.  Which brings me to another wonderful thing about the trail, you can walk as far as you want.  Short or long distances still show you some of the wonderful beauty the trail has to offer.

So next time you want to do something that the entire family can enjoy, take a walk on the beautiful Conotton Creek Trail.  You never know what is in store for you.
