Going Green Tip #24

Another tip to help you go ‘green’.

Jeans, I’m sure all of us own at least one pair, but did you ever stop and wonder what you could do with them after they get old and worn out?  There are ways to reuse your old jeans instead of throwing them out.

Here are a few ways to reuse a pair of jeans:

~ Cut them up and use them as patches for holes in other clothing
~Cut off the legs, fill them with sand, and sew the ends up to use them as draft stoppers.  Set them right against your door.

Or, if you really want to get crafty when thinking of ways to reuse jeans, here are a few other ideas.

~ Cut your jeans into patches and use them to create a quilt
~Make a denim book cover
~Make a pencil case

Those are just a couple of ways.  I’m sure there are more ideas on how to reuse old jeans.

Recycling or reusing items can be fun and enjoyable.  Just use your imagination to come up with other crafty, useful ideas.
