KC’s Tasty Treats provides just that

I tried in vain to convince the owner of KC’s Tasty Treats to take up residence in one of the empty shops in town, to enable her to continue to dish out her fantastic food and dairy wares, all year round, but I believe my plea fell on deaf ears.

Let me share a short story.

Prior to heading out in the Navy, I remember having a Taco-In-A-Bag.  Nothing special. Just a quick fix comfort food, that is quite mobile. While in the service, I kept a sharp look out for vendors that sold the aforementioned Taco meal, but most that I approached, had no idea what I was talking about, and found it odd to prepare the food I requested in such a way. Even while out to sea, while being fed a steady stream of rice and chicken, I longed for that taco-in-a-bag. It wasn’t until 8 years later that I personally discovered KC’s Tasty Treats down at Sally Buffalo park, and wouldn’t you know it, right there on the menu. Taco-In-A-Bag.

I have to admit, I was star struck, wildly in love from that first bite. A most amazing reunion of the experience and taste that I had often thought of.

But the experience did not stop there. I had been teased with some good simple food, and I am one, who enjoys good food. It was then that I decided; The Italian Sausage Sandwich was my next victim.

But a question was posed to me as soon as I ordered. ” Do you want cheese on that or no? ” Cheese? I could not possibly make that decision, so cheese was placed on half of the sandwich.
In the end, that sandwich was outstanding. With, and without cheese.

Perhaps this is the part where I say that I’m addicted to the food and ice cream that is is offered at KC’s Tasty Treats. And perhaps this is also the part where I try to encourage everyone reading this to put the pressure on them to stay open year round (Hey, I can have wishful thinking)
