Saturday, October 1st, Sally Buffalo Park will be having their annual Oktoberfest.  This year they have a full day of fun and entertainment planned.

The Lions Club will be having a Pancake Eating Contest at 9 am in the Lodge.  Entry fee is $5 per person.  The winner of the Eating Contest will receive 50% of all entry fees.  The remaining portion of the entry fees will be donated to The Cadiz Food Pantry.  So, if you have a big appetite or just want to help The Cadiz Food Pantry, be at the lodge by 9 am and see how many pancakes you can eat.  If all you can eat pancakes is not what you are looking for, the Lions Club will be selling a full breakfast of pancakes, sausage & a drink for $5 from 8 am – 11am.

A Car Show will be from 12 noon until 4 pm, with registration being from 11 am to 2 pm.  The first 100 cars registered will receive a dash plaque.  Top 10 Awards and a Best in Show Trophy will also be awarded.  Harrison County’s Lil Hustlers will be displaying their tractors during the Car Show as well.

The kids will be able to enjoy the inflatable rides again this year from 2pm until 8pm at NO charge.  Frontier has generously donated the inflatable rides so the kids can play all day for FREE.

Crafters and vendors will be opening their booths at noon.  The crafters will be inside the Lodge and vendors will be set up behind the Lodge. Food will be available throughout the afternoon.  Ribs, hot dogs, bison burgers, as well as the Jewett Ruritan Concession Stand will be there.

Music will be provided on the stage behind the Lodge from noon until 4pm by DJ Brenda.  The band Kranken will then be “kranken” it up from 4 pm until 7 pm with music that ranges from Nickelback to Wild Cherry. They have song for EVERYONE in the crowd.

So, if you are looking for some family fun, close to home, head out to Sally Buffalo Park this Saturday and help support our local community.
