Huskies Recognize Biddy Football and Cheerleaders

There was a lot more than just Husky football at the game Friday,October 14, 2011.  Harrison Central Huskies and the Indian Creek Redskins honored Breast Cancer Awareness Month by wearing pink with their uniforms during the game and the Huskies had two large pink ribbons painted on the field on either side of the 50 yard line.

Before the game started, the Biddy Football teams and Cheerleaders were recognized.  Each athlete being announced as they ran across the field.  A portion of the Huskies football team was on the field warming up as the kids came across the field.  Before heading back to the locker room to finish preparing for their game, they walked over and gave the Biddy boys high fives, helping to get everyone psyched for the approaching game.

During the second quarter, the Varsity Cheerleaders had the Jewett-Scio Biddy Cheerleaders come down on the track to help keep the crowd spirited by shouting out some of their own cheers.  The Varsity girls even joined the girls in some of the cheers.

The Husky football team truly gave their all on the field, but in the end, the Redskins were able to squeak past them.  The final score being 22-20.  The Huskies really gave all the Biddy players and cheerleaders a taste of what’s to come for them as they move up from Cardinals and Vikings to join forces and become Harrison County’s own Huskies!
