Grandma Buxton's Meatloaf

Best meatloaf I have ever tasted...simple recipe that was handed down from our Grandma Helen Buxton, a lifelong resident of Harrison County. Sadly Grandma passed away in 2007, she was a fantastic cook and I am so very happy to share this recipe with all of you.

  • 2 Pounds Ground Beef
  • 1 Sleeve Saltine Crackers
  • 1 Medium Onion (chopped)
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 Cup Brown Sugar (Firmly Packed)
  • Ketchup

Cooking Directions

  1. In large bowl mix together all ingredients except ketchup.
  2. Form into loaf shape and place in cooking sprayed pan.
  3. Place a little bit of water in the pan, not too much...about 1/2 cup.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 2-2 1/2 hours.
  5. Top with Ketchup and serve hot or cold for sandwiches.
